According to the leak, which was spotted and posted to Chinese social media site Weibo, the rear-facing camera also doesn’t compromise. It sits at a cool 16MP, and is coupled with an 8MP front-facing camera — perfect for the selfie-takers among us.
According to GFXBench site, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) will feature a 16MP rear and selfie camera. It is expected to sport a 5.5-inch full HD display, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core processor clocking at 1.8GHz, runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system, and comes packed with a 32GB internal memory and 3GB RAM.
The old 16MP sensor in the E-M5 was the IMX109 (as Chipworks revealed), so IMX159 is indeed a newer sensor. Sony made an announcement of two new sensors, so it wasn't just some people having seen them in a list.
